We love children at First Baptist Church!  Newborns through fifth graders are invited to join us in our Children's Ministry.

The ARK 

(Birth to 5 years old)

Sunday morning is a nursery environment for children ages six weeks through five years. We are committed to making The Ark safe and secure. All our volunteers are carefully screened and our facility is kept clean and sanitary to help keep your children healthy. Infants and toddlers are cared for in a safe, loving atmosphere by trained volunteers while two through five year olds are taught the awesome truth of God’s Word through age appropriate songs, puppets and dramas.

Each week your children learn a Bible story and participate in fun, creative activities that teach them about God’s big story of love and salvation.  The kids go home with a “What I Learned in The Ark Today” take home page with family discussion and activity ideas. You are the best teacher for your child so you can use these ideas to talk about God all week long!

We believe it is our responsibility to help introduce Preschoolers to their loving heavenly Father so before they graduate from The Ark we want them to know:

God loves me
God made me
Jesus wants to be my Forever Friend

UPSTREET

(Kindergarden to 5th Grade)

We begin with large group praise and worship and then break off into grade-level small groups to learn more about God and how God can work in his or her life!  Our curriculum is designed to be followed up at home for further reinforcement. Each month we introduce a different biblical virtue through our UPSTREET program. Then the featured virtue is reinforced every Sunday morning. Bible stories are shared and scriptures are tied to each virtue so kids can use them in everyday situations. It is a time for kids to learn more about God and an opportunity for them meet new friends, connect with teachers and share God's word.

252 Basics is an easy-to-use curriculum designed to put your mind at ease and your heart into overdrive.

It centers on 3 Basic Truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52
 

 I need to make wise choices.
 I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
